More Shoots

I finished two more photo sessions this week with the Weed's and the Shaffer's. I had a lot of fun with these wonderful people and I hope they enjoy their pictures as much as I did. Here are only a couple. If you would like to see more feel free to visit my Portraits of a Mother Blog.

The Summer Cut

I am so excited about my new haircut! A couple of weeks ago Adam was playing with my hair and said, "You're hair is so hot! How do you stand it? Maybe you should get it cut." Immediately I started looking at styles. When Adam and I were engaged my hair was pretty short and he had said that he liked long hair, so being the nice little wife I kept growing my hair out. It was nice to have long hair, but I really do enjoy it short. Especially with the summer heat upon us and having less time to beautify myself because of Wes. I think this will be a good change!

New Wheels

Okay, I just have one more thing to share. Our friends moved away and gave us this fun 4-wheeler for Wesley. His short legs aren't long enough for him to make it go yet, so he begs us to push him around our apartment in it. Adam had this fabulous idea to pull him in it outside. It was such a blast to watch him be so excited about his new wheels! Thanks Jared and Codi! I love hand me downs!!

Toddler Bed!

Here is Wesley's new sleeping arrangements. We took his mattress and just set it on the floor with the bumpers around it. Originally the whole left side was open, but he kept falling off the bed and waking up at 2 a.m. So I added the boxes and blankets and he's slept better at night. I'd say it's working out pretty well, but the only problem we're having is with this new freedom Wesley feels like he can decide when it's time to get up--which is usually around 6 a.m.! That's still too early for me, so we're working on it. Just continue to wish us luck, especially after we move and he has even more changes to deal with. Cause Momma needs her sleep!!

Happy Mother's Day!

I had a great day. Wes and Adam made me breakfast and then after church they made the dessert for our family home evening group (the picture at top shows the dessert--if you click on the pics you can see the chocolate on their lips from sampling! :) Love it!) Adam also spoiled me by changing all of Wes' stinky diapers and doing all the dishes! It was a nice day! I hope all of my friends and family out there had a wonderful Mother's Day as well!

Toddler Bed?

Okay, I have a question...We are trying to decide if we should get rid of Wes' crib before we move. It's not a very good one, so we want to buy a new one for the next kid anyway and it would make me happy if we didn't have to lug this one back to Cali. Plus, since we'll probably be living with family for awhile a little toddler bed would be more convenient. But is it too soon? Wes loves his crib and sleeps so good in it. He's never tried to climb out of it; he did try to climb in it once though. Let me know what you think--whether you have personal experience with this situation or not. Thanks friends!
