Finally...the apartment!

This took me forever because I had to do a different room everyday to move the mess around! I still didn't have any of our office--that one may take awhile to clear out.
Our neighbors above us moved in last week. We didn't realize how spoiled we've been not having upstairs neighbors, but we weren't about to be on the 3rd floor. Our carpet isn't really carpet. Because we wanted the bottom floor the only one that was left was a handicap. They told us the only difference would be the bars in the bathroom, but they failed to mention we wouldn't have any pad or nice plush carpet. It feels like we're living in office space sometimes and poor Wesley is trying not to fall too often on. It doesn't make for a soft landing.
All in all, though, we are happy with our new place. I really do love having all my stuff back. It felt like Christmas opening up all those boxes. We've especially enjoyed having family time--just the 3 of us. We've really appreciated our parents for helping us out, but I'm sure they'll agree that it was time for us to be our own family again!

Button, Button, Who's Got the Button!

While I was fixing Wesley's drapes he found my buttons in the sewing basket! He got all excited and said, "Mommy, mommy, look'it!"

A Conversation

A conversation with Wes and Adam this morning:

Adam: Wesley, did you know Mommy and I saw a mouse last night on the porch? A ratatouille was on the porch! It ran up the screen door and scared mommy really bad!
Wes: A ratatouille?! I saw a ratatouille last week!
Adam: You did? Last week, huh? Where did you see a ratatouille?
Wes: In the forest.
Adam: The forest? What forest.
Wes: The McQueen Forest! (says McQueen with slow emphasis)
Adam: Are you making this up?
Wes: ha, ha, ha, no I not! :)

With Wesley's help, I think we succeeded in making these wonderful cards!
And in case you're wondering--that is our so called "carpet". I will post more on this later...

Father's Day

Okay, so I've been racking my brain trying to decide what to do about a Father's Day card for my 2 Dad's. Lately I do the digiscrap style, but I don't have a recent picture of my dad or my father in-law. I decided to Google Father's Day Cards and this is what I found...
So incredibly cute I just had to share! Here's the link to the blog--there's a video that makes it so easy to do!! Thank you Susanna Boyd! Now I just have to get my scrapbook stuff moved into our apartment...hmmm.
P.S. Jenny and Holly, I know you look at my blog, so you are not allowed to copy!! :) Love ya anyways, though!
P.P.S. Pictures of our apartment are on their way. Don't necessarily hold your breath--I still have picture hanging and tons of organizing to do before I attempt to document for the public eye!

Happy Father's Day to all the Father's out there!!
