The Packer Family Reunion

We had an awesome time in Southern California! We were there a total of 8 days and had such a blast seeing my family again. We started out the week by seeing my nephew, Ethan, be baptized. It was so neat. I've had to miss the 2 other baptisms in our family due to expense of traveling. So the timing of Ethan's baptism was perfect. The rest of the week consisted of enjoying the 5 acre property my parents rented for the week. There were 2 houses so that every family had their own room to sleep in. Each family took a turn to cook for everyone and we went out to eat twice--thank you In and Out! :) There was an awesome pool, a pool table in the big house and a game room in one of the garages. When we first got there we met our friends, the black widow spiders! They were everywhere (outside), but once we booted them out we really enjoyed the place. We didn't get root beer in the kegerator, but the owners were nice enough to leave us some cans in the fridge! The boys got to go golfing and the girls went shopping at the outlet mall. We couldn't have been more spoiled. There were 2 huge turtles that roamed the property along with 4 dogs! It was kind of fun having some resident pets. Wesley was so scared of the sand at the beach that we didn't have too much fun there. I think his favorite part was the pool slide and of course his cousins! By the end his best bud was Kellon. Kellon is 6 months older than Wes and they hardly noticed each other until just before it was time to leave. They played peek-a-boo behind the glass patio door and then they gave some pretty big hugs when it was time to go! So sweet! I just want to thank my parents for this wonderful week! It was so nice to spend time with family and have a fun relaxing week!

How fun! Isn't it weird when you can start having a family reunion with your immediate family? Makes me want to go to Cali so bad! I'm glad you had a good time!

The sand phobia must be a toddler thing. We went through that a bit too. Look like you had a great time, sounds really fun!!
